Dinner & Auction Gala

What an evening of fun and entertainment resplendent in a Roaring 20s theme! Our extravanagza included a fabulous dinner, live and silent auctions, and then dancing the night away. The Monarch Club at Trilogy in Nipomo was the speakeasy for this elegant soiree.

Funds raised benefit the Friends of the Santa Maria Valley Railroad generally, and specifically a new Friends' program to assist the Education and Equipping of Central Coast First Responders regarding rail incidents. Some of this will also assist departments responding to non-rail incidents as well. Part of the proceeds will also benefit the Renovation of the La Condesa, a 1926 Pullman car belonging to the San Luis Obispo Railroad Museum. You may recall that the La Condesa was on the SMVRR from October of 2007 to May of 2014. UPDATE 5/14/15: A $2500 check was presented to the SLORRM during their SLO Train Day celebration.
